I was really pleased with this apple pie scent from Mainstays. I would like to had some pie crust notes, but it smelled of warm apple pie filling and man, was it good! I could certainly see getting this scent in the regularly sized wax melts as an inexpensive option. If you dont see this in your local Walmart, you can check for the, but you will pay more for them. I found a Warm Apple Pie candle and a Warm Apple Pie pillar on Amazon, so Im anxious to see how those compare.

This was a thin clamshell wax melt package that had a picture of a thick piece of apple pie on the front, complete with a handy dandy fork on the side. Im rating the presentation a 4 out of 5 but just because Ive decided to get a little tougher on presentation. There are SO many beautiful candles and creative wax melts, I have to have some way of oohing and aahing over them!

The wax was rather soft and very easy to break apart. It was kind of hard to break these into squares. The scent on cold sniff was cinnamon-y with just a hint of apples. It was not exactly what I was looking for, but I didnt want to judge this one on cold sniff alone.

I used this wax melt in my hot plate melter and it didnt take long for it to start churning out scent. Once warmed, I could smell the depth of this scent a little more it smelled like the thick, gooey insides of a warm apple pie. Yum! There was a little more sweet apple and a kind of syrupy smell to it once warmed. The cinnamon was still there but it was more mellow once warmed. I didnt smell any pie crust notes, but it was still just divine.
