Final Thoughts On Beauty Pie

MONTHLY FAVOURITES AND MY HONEST THOUGHTS ON BEAUTY PIE

I really like all of the Beauty Pie products that Ive tried so far. While most of the products that Ive tried have fragrance, I actually like the scents. I cant wait until the next month comes around and my membership renews so that I can try more Beauty Pie products! I have only tried skincare and body care products so far but cant wait to try their makeup, perfume, and candles.

Just some food for thought. Currently, I am on the $10/mo plan, but I am thinking about upping it to the $20/mo plan, especially since I want to try just about every skincare product, whose Typical Price is rather high.

Thats the only drawback for me that the Typical Prices can be rather high, say, $100 for a retinol product, so if you want to purchase several skincare products, you may have to spread them over a few months if your spending limit is only valued at $100/mo.

I will provide an update on all of the new products Ive tried after a few months. Have you tried Beauty Pie? Id love to know!

Thanks for reading!

Pregnancy Safe Skincare From Beauty Pie

Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that Ive decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.

Here youll find pregnancy safe products from Beauty Pie as of 12/24/2019. If it is not safe, Ill tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. Youll know exactly which product I mean.

Beauty Pie Japanfusion Genius Lift Elixir

When I first saw the launch of the Japanfusion Genius Lift Elixir by Beauty Pie I was excited. First of all, Beautypie make stand out products which makes subscription to their service very worthwhile . Second of all, this serum contains a mix of antioxidants, water magnets and forming agents to do 2 things I increasingly need, plump and lift. Maturing skin? Tick, tick. Headlines: After just 2 weeks of nightly use, I can see a visible difference in my skins appearance. Hooked.

The Good: I have seen my waddle become a little less waddly. The skin feels just a little tighter and more plumped, both instantly and over time. The texture of the serum is very pleasant, a more viscous consistency than I was expecting, almost like a light oil, but sinks right in leaving no residue. Its £7.61 for 15ml for members but performs like a much more premium product. Pure magic.

The Bad: Its only 15ml! Please Beauty pie team, bring this out in a 30/50ml!

The Ugly Truth: Would I repurchase. How could I not? Ill have to stock up though because I am pounding through this bottle.

Creating A Buyers Club

Beauty Pie was founded in 2017 by entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore, the woman behind Bliss, Soap & Glory and FitFlop, as a female-centric company aimed at disrupting the luxury beauty giants by going direct-to-consumer.

Beauty Pies USP is its transparent pricing model. The brand buys direct from labs, meaning members pay for the product, packaging, new product development, safety testing and warehousing, but not the added marketing costs or retailer mark-ups.

This price is then contrasted against the typical price for each product, which Beauty Pie calculates by comparing the formulation, packaging, ingredients, uses, claims and product size of similar products from established online and offline competitors.

Jenkins describes Beauty Pie as essentially boarding up Harrods, taking all the labels off the products and charging everyone £10 to go into the beauty hall to spend what they want within an allowance.

Her team is focused on breaking down the barriers that could prevent consumers from signing up. Some people, for example, feel they dont buy enough make-up or skincare to justify a monthly membership. This means talking about the 80% mark-up paid for luxury beauty products and the fact the allowance rolls over month to month.

Other potential customers are nervous about being tied into memberships or subscription boxes, so here the focus is on giving free trials to demonstrate the value of the service.

Beauty Pie Product Reviews

If youve spoken to me on Zoom recently, Ive raved about two thingsmy Peloton and Beauty Pie.

I was looking for some new beauty items as I came to the end of a bunch of my products, combined with terrible skin from wearing a mask at work for most of the day. Enter Beauty Pie

I first heard about Beauty Pie after hearing the founder and CEO, Marcia Kilgore on Rachel Hollis podcast. This isnt her first company, having developed both Soap & Glory and FitFlop into huge brands, and I was interested enough in the concept of her idea to find out more.

What is Beauty Pie?

Beauty Pie is essentially a membership club for beauty products, but unlike subscription services like Birch Box, you get to choose what you buy. Another big difference, you pay what a product costs to make. Rather than the over inflated prices we see from most brands. Through Marcias relationship with beauty factories and labs that make big label goods, shes been able to cut out the middle man, allowing the consumer to buy luxury products at cost price.

How does Beauty Pie Make their Money?

Beauty Pie makes their money through monthly memberships. From £5 per month up to £20 a month . Unused spending limits role over the next month, and you can upgrade/downgrade your monthly fees as you need. This link gets you your first month free.

Another important factor is that the products are all cruelty free and theyve got the Clean Beauty approval .

Beauty Pie Product Costs

Included in Beauty Pie member costs are product, packaging, and storage costs. Formulation, prototyping, and product safety and testing costs are also a component of the final product price. What I think is so cool is that each product has cost transparency broken down on its detail page which shows the exact costs that go into the price of the product.

For instance, one of my favorite products that Ive tried so far from Beauty Pie is their Japanfusion Pure Transforming Cleanser. The Beauty Pie price is an unbelievable $6.47, excluding tax vs. the typical price of $35.00. I still cant believe that the price is so low! The product page explains that the Product and Packaging price is $4.25, Warehousing is $1.69 and Safety + Testing is $0.53. Very transparent and as a former accountant, I love numbers breakdown!

I Was Only Going To Review 1 Product From This Line But Eff It I Love Them All

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you’ll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

I’ve never been totally loyal to just one beauty brand I’m a mix-and-matcher. I love high end and low end, drugstore stock and spa grade. I love Dr. Jart’s Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment for redness, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel for hydration, and Glossier Balm Dotcom to sooth my dry lips but I’ve always wanted to try a complete line.

Companies construct full lines of products for a reason, after all. The ingredients in each product are designed to work together to solve your skin woes, reacting off one another to create the perfect complexion. Ideal as that may be, how many of us collect every item in a line and let them all work their magic on our blemishes, wrinkles, and dark spots? I sure didn’t . . . until I tried Beauty Pie’s Japanfusion line.

I’m a big fan of Beauty Pie, and when it announced a line of skincare products infused with Japanese ingredients like pombe yeast and jabara extract, I was 100 percent down to try. The line includes four items: cleanser, toner, serum, and cream. Though this sounds a bit bare-bones, these products are far from simple. The formulas are rich in vitamins C and E and antioxidants. The combination is perfect for sensitive skin needing a little break from extreme peels and harsh exfoliants .

How Does Beauty Pie Work

Sound too good to be true? Stay with us heres how theyve made it possible.

Turns out, once you strip back all those additional costs, the price of your actual product is pleasingly small. You wont get the heavy lipstick click-cases, frosted-glass jars or gilded foundation bottles, but its whats inside that counts, remember? For example, a Beauty Pie retinol serum, produced in Switzerland, costs just £8.94, despite being full of slow-release encapsulated retinol, ferulic acid and vitamin C .

Your monthly subscription is what makes it all possible and the brand has recently switched up the small print to make things easier, more flexible, and even more affordable than ever before.

Beauty Pie A Buyers Club For Beauty Addicts

Beauty Pie Japan Fusion J

Beauty Pie was founded in 2016 by Marcia Kilgore, a beauty industry veteran who also founded Bliss Spa, Soap & Glory, and FitFlop. It was Kilgores mission to bring the highest quality beauty products to consumers at transparent factory costs without any markups. She wants consumers to have a bigger piece of the beauty pie, thus the brand name Beauty Pie!

Beauty Pie sells products for the hair, skin, and body, as well as makeup, perfume, and candles. They source their products from beauty labs that also supply major luxury cosmetics brands.

Beauty Pie may even get the exact same formulations for some products as other premium beauty brands. These labs and suppliers are located worldwide including Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Korea, France, Germany, the UK, and the US.

The difference is that Beauty Pie is not adding the crazy markups that come with typical luxury beauty products. Prices are actually lower than drugstore prices! They use the buying power of all of their members to get the newest and best formulations.

Why Beauty Pie Oh Makeup Artist In Oxfordshire

The first big selling point about Beauty Pie is that they only market incredibly high quality products with superb ingredients. However, they sell them at cost price. They make their profit from your subscription fees.

The second is that they are hugely environmentally aware. From their packaging, both for transporting the products as well as the bottles et cetera themselves and inks through to the fact that they do not test on animals. Also most of the range is vegan. Im increasingly noticing as a makeup artist in Oxfordshire, that clients are more aware of their environmental footprint. Therefore, Beauty pie is a brand which I am proud to recommend and support.

So, I thought I would do a few blogs about some of my favourite products that I regularly use on clients and on myself as a makeup artist in Oxfordshire. You can read about some of the Beauty Pie makeup I use here and here.

Beauty Pie Japan Fusion Cleanser Review

Hello everyone and welcome back. I do like trying out new cleansers, I feel like theyre the one product I can test on my skin that wont cause too much irritation as its not on the skin too long.

The Japan Fusion range from Beauty Pie is all about being gentle, nourishing and moisturising. This is the first product that Ive tried from the range and I really want to try out more.

The packaging is a simple, but classic light pink with black type. The product comes in a squeeze tube which I really like as its much more hygienic than in a tub.

This product is unlike any other cleanser Ive ever tried. It squeezes out of the tube like a balm, and when you massage the product into the skin it transforms into a silky oil which breaks down all and I mean all makeup.

Initially, Id bought this to use as a second cleanse after removing my makeup with a cleansing oil, but I tried this out to remove my makeup and was so impressed, its now become the only cleanser I use. Its incredibly gentle, removes all makeup and leaves the skin feeling clean but not at all right.

Really, really impressed with this product, I need to get some back ups!

Have you tried this cleanser? What were your thoughts? Take care and Ill be back soon
