Mcdonalds Holiday Pie Is Back To Fill All Your Vanilla Custard Dreams
What a way to end the year!
You know McDonalds Baked Apple Pie that’s sprinkled with sugar topping, but did you know that theres a Christmas version? McDonalds Holiday Pie has been popping up at different locations, signaling its delicious return for the 2019 holiday season.
The seasonal offering consists of creamy vanilla custard inside a buttery crust that is glazed with sugar and topped with rainbow sprinkles. It sounds more like a birthday celebration treat than one you would eat around Christmas, but who are we to complain about when a dreamy dessert comes our way?
Apparently, the treat first came out around 2012, and, although its become a fan favorite, franchise owners have the choice whether to bring them back or not. A bunch of people have taken to social media to broadcast that the Holiday Pie has landed at a McDonalds location by them so let the hunt begin!
While youre stocking up on Holiday Pies, McDonalds also has a new Snickerdoodle McFlurry to bring the taste of the holidays to a beloved treat. Its a mix of vanilla soft-serve and sweet cinnamon cookie, so, yes, well be ordering one of those, as well.

Who Still Sells Mcdonalds Fried Apple Pies
Currently, the McDonalds at 10207 Lakewood Boulevard on Florence Avenue in Downey, California, is the only restaurant selling fried apple pies. However, this particular location has more leeway than other U.S. McDonalds. It was the third McDonalds restaurant to open way back on August 18, 1953. Because of that, it has more control of whats on its menu. Also, all McDonalds locations in Hawaii sell the legendary McDonalds Fried Apple Pie.

How To Make Mcdonalds Holiday Pies
You can use your oven or air fryer to make these festive treats!
Preheat. If using an oven, preheat it to 400 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Whisk the ingredients. In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding, cake mix, milk and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.
Mix it all up. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese until its light and fluffy. Then, add the pudding mix to the cream cheese and blend it all together until its fully combined.
Prepare the pie crust. Gently unroll each pie crust and cut off the rounded edges to make one large square. Then, cut each square in half to create a large rectangle.
Fill the pie crust. Spoon the creamy filling into the center of each square and fold the dough over. Seal the edges by neatly pressing a fork along each side.
Make the egg wash. In a small bowl, beat the egg and water together until well combined. Brush the egg wash over the tops of each pie. This step ensure that your pies will turn out golden brown!
OVEN: Transfer pies to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 13-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
AIR FRYER: Spray your air fryer with cooking spray. I recommend using one thats butter flavored to compliment the pie crust. Then, place in 2 pies at a time. Air fry at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Repeat with the remaining pies.
Serve. Drizzle each holiday pie with glaze and sprinkle your heart away. Enjoy!
Can Mcdonald’s Help With Your Thanksgiving Plans
There’s so much effort that goes into planning Thanksgiving dinner, whether it’s for family or possibly hosting Friendsgiving this year.
While McDonald’s doesn’t have most of the usual Thanksgiving goods including turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and bread rolls, it does have the Thanksgiving desert staple, pie.
When it comes to desserts McDonald’s is known primarily for their milkshakes, however, their individually-sized apple pies would make for an excellent addition to the holiday feast and will take much-needed time off your hands.
Their apple pies typically are to serve one individual so you might need to purchase quite a few, depending how large your gathering is.
McDonald’s fried apple pies cost $1.59 so luckily it shouldn’t set you back too much on the Thanksgiving budget.

Spam Portuguese Sausage Eggs And Rice
My favorite savory thing to get at McDonalds Hawaii are the breakfast platters!! You can mix and match, pick only Spam or only Portuguese Sausage. Or you can have it allwhich is what I prefer. This is my go-to combo breakfast platter. Lots of rice , scrambled eggs, two slices of Spam , and three slices of Portuguese Sausage .
And dont neglect the Aloha brand shoyu packets that come with the breakfast platter. You know how some people like to put ketchup on their eggs? In Hawaii we put shoyu. Just open the packet and drizzle it on top of your eggs and rice. The best is when you can get everything in one bite. FYI, breakfast is now served all day.

McDonald’s is one of the world’s largest fast food chains, founded in 1940 in San Bernardino, California, and incorporated in Des Plaines, Illinois, in 1955. Since then, McDonald’s has become a household name in America, known for selling a variety of convenience food items at thousands of locations worldwide. Throughout its history, McDonald’s has experimented with a number of different offerings on the menu. In 2007, McDonald’s had only 85 items on its menu, by 2013 this number had risen to 145 items on its menu.
There Have Been More Than 40 Flavors Of Mcdonald’s Pies
Over the years, McDonald’s has tried making some wild flavors of pies. Some, however, were relatively normal flavors to try in all fairness, though. Among the tamer flavors, customers were able to get peach or chocolate pies. On the other end of the spectrum, McDonald’s once filled its hand pies with taro, a purple tuber that made for very sweet and purple pies. Other sweet yet somewhat odd flavors include sweet potato, s’mores, and even a sweet cheese-filled pie . There was once a savory bacon-potato pie, too.
Then there are its seasonal pies. According to Middle Class, McDonald’s seasonal flavors have included banana pie, chocolate banana pie, corn pie, coconut pie, and Pai Bubur Cha Cha, which is a Malaysian pie filled with coconut cream and small pieces of yam. There’s been a white chocolate strawberry cream pie, red bean pie, creamy herb chicken pie, mango passionfruit pie, Oreo cookies and cream pie, and a salted caramel and chocolate pie. A pulut hitam pie, which is filled with black glutinous rice, appeared as well as a karipap pie with a filling like curried chicken.
There’s been no shortage of flavors to try, but few could take the place of the classic McDonald’s apple pie. Keep your eyes peeled though you never know when a seasonal or new flavor might pop up again.

Are These Exclusively Christmas Pies
Sadly, McDonalds only makes these desserts during Christmas. However, were not McDonalds!
While this sugar cookie treat is a wonderful holiday dessert, all you need to do is change the color of the sprinkles to match whatever youre celebrating. I love making them with rainbow sprinkles for birthday parties, and pink sprinkles for Valentines Day!
Mcdonald’s Popular Holiday Menu Item Is Back At Some Locations
When it comes to holiday traditions, the safest bet is to stick with what works. At least McDonald’s seems to subscribe to that philosophy.
The fast-food chain has been releasing its Holiday Pie seasonally for almost a decade now, but no matter how long it’s been around, the treat always manages to stir up excitement. And this year is no exception.
Every year, a distinct sense of mystery surrounds the release of the Holiday Pie. McDonald’s rarely rolls it out at every one of their locations simultaneouslyin fact, fans can attest that some locations don’t end up carrying it at all. This season, the pie has already been spotted at restaurants in Illinois, Texas, and Ohio, and just a few days ago that it “won’t be long” before it makes a nationwide return. “Keep an eye out for updates,” the company Tweeted to those who still don’t see the festive pie on their local menus. This tracks with the typical Mickey D’s Holiday Pie release timeline, which usually falls between late November and early December.6254a4d1642c605c54bf1cab17d50f1e

What Are Mcdonald’s Thanksgiving Hours
Roughly 95% of McDonald’s locations are independently owned and operated, therefore hours will vary by each location for the major holiday. It is suspected that the fast food giant will be open for breakfast.
McDonald’s breakfast hours are usually 5:00am to 10:30am on weekdays and 5:00am to 11am on weekends, though store hours vary from location to location.
If you’re in dire need of a Big Mac or perhaps want to enjoy their breakfast menu before you get busy in the kitchen, you can check the McDonald’s app for local hours or visit their online store locator.
Even if you aren’t eating McDonald’s as a Thanksgiving turkey replacement, many will still work up an appetite cooking their holiday meal and may need to stop by a drive-thru for a snack.
While some may not think of fast food as an appetizing dinner on Thanksgiving, many will need fuel in the morning to get through the day making breakfast and the golden arches may sound like a good idea.
