Keto Peanut Butter & Chocolate Pie Where Have You Been All My Life If Chocolate And Peanut Butter Is A Combination That Makes Your Heart Flip Youre Going To Love This Creamy And Decadent Low Carb Peanut Butter Pie With A Chocolate Cookie Crust Seriously

Think! Keto Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Protein Bar

If Im being honest, chocolate and peanut butter is a combination that Ive always been kind of meh about. Its not that I dont like it, I just dont have the abiding love that some bloggers do for it. So there arent a lot of desserts here on IBIH that marry the two.

But thats OK, because frankly this keto chocolate peanut butter pie is the only recipe youll ever need to get the best of both, in my opinion. The rich and creamy peanut butter filling, combined with a crunchy chocolate cookie crust, and topped with a drizzle of dark chocolate and slightly sweetened peanut butter sauce AND toasted peanuts on top?!?! Be still my heart.

I cant decide if I like this keto chocolate peanut butter pie better frozen or simply chilled. I love the creaminess when its soft enough to melt in your mouth, but also the ice cream like quality of the peanut butter filling when mostly frozen.

Ill leave it to you to try it both ways and see which way you like it best!

You should know that this keto peanut butter & chocolate pie is pretty easy to make. Its a press in crust, no rolling required, and it only has to bake for about 10 minutes and thats all the cooking that is needed for this almost no bake keto peanut butter pie.

The filling consists of an ultra creamy combination of peanut butter, vanilla, sweetener, whipped cream and mascarpone cheese

How To Make Keto Peanut Butter Pie

This keto peanut butter pie is so tasty and indulgent, anyone who tries it will think it took hours to make.

But the process of making it could not be any easier! The most difficult part is waiting for it to set in the fridge before you dig in.

So, get your ingredients together, and lets get into making a peanut butter pie keto!

Step 1: Making The Crust

As I mentioned earlier, this is a no bake pie including the crust so you dont even have to turn on your oven to make it!

First, put the almond flour, granular swerve, and cocoa powder in a bowl and mix until they are well combined.

Next, add the coconut oil and press it into the dry ingredient mixture with a fork or a spatula until it is thoroughly mixed.

Then add the water and work the ingredients together with the spatula and your hands until they are fully combined and a sticky dough forms. If the dough is too runny, just add a little bit more almond flour. And if it is too dry and crumbly, add some more water.

Once you have a dough, evenly press it into a pie dish with your hands to cover the bottom and sides, and then refrigerate while you make the filling. Oh, and I used a 9-inch pie dish, but any size will work!

Step 2: Making The Peanut Butter Filling

Now that the crust is chilling, you can make the filling.

Doing this could not be any simpler just put all of the filling ingredients into a large bowl and mix and fold them together until you have a soft and creamy filling.

Step 3: Finishing The Pie

The What You’ve Been Craving Keto Peanut Butter Pie

Seriously. I’ve found Nirvana, and I think you will too.

This makes 12 pieces/servings.

1/4 cup Allulose

1 tsp salt

8 oz cream cheese

1/2 cup butter

3/4 cup Peter Pan Natural Creamy Peanut Butter

For the pie filling.

1. Toast the almond flour. Full confession, I often start toasting and forget about the flour, and it gets a bit scorched. It’s still better tasting than untoasted almond flour! So do it! If you’re like me and easily distracted, then stand right by the pan as it toasts – it takes about 5-7 minutes on low heat.

2. Melt 1/2 cup of butter. I use a microwave.

3. Add the toasted almond flower, the butter, the sugar substitute and the spices Mix in bowl. Should be a bit wet.

4. Pour into pie plate. Work the crust dough with your hands so it covers the bottom of the plate as well as the sides. Now stick it into your freezer for about an hour so it can set.

5. Pull out the cream cheese so it can soften.

6. Once the hour is up, pull the pie crust from the freezer, and start making the filling. I use a pottery pie plate, so I don’t want to put a frozen plate directly into the pre-heated oven.

7. Pre-heat oven to 325.

8. Brown the butter. You can skip this step and still have an amazing pie, but for that little touch of decadence, brown the butter. Let the brown butter cool for a little bit in a bowl separate from the pan you cooked it in.

10. Pour filling into crust.

12. Refrigerate any leftovers.

An Overview On Protein Bars For Breakfast

Its not always possible to whip up a healthy breakfast from scratch. You may have only a few minutes to get to work after rushing the kids out the door to catch the bus. When life gets busy, youll want to opt for a protein bar for breakfast. Protein bars are excellent as a meal replacement since they provide both nutrition and hunger control.

There are a few things to keep in mind as you browse the many available protein breakfast bars on the market.

Begin by examining the protein content in the breakfast bar. The higher the protein content, the longer youll go before feeling hungry again. Some bars have just 10 grams of protein per serving, which is fine if youre using the bar as a healthy snack. For a meal replacement, however, youll want to go with the Pure Protein Bars, Chocolate Variety Pack, as each bar contains 20 grams of protein per serving.

Next, take a look at the sugar content. This is especially important if you are diabetic or trying to lose weight. Youll find plenty of protein bars for breakfast that have 5 grams or less of sugar, including bars that keep the sugar level down to just 1 gram per serving.

Determine whether the protein bar has any other nutritional benefits. For example, some bars have 19 different vitamins and minerals in each bar that help support the bodys immune system. Other bars use alternative ingredients to keep the recipe safe for those who cant consume gluten.

Your body will only be able to use fats as energy if you restrict your net carbs to 20g 30g per day. Thus, it is important to get your fats from high-fat foods that are also low in net carbs.

Avocado, salmon, and ghee are great examples of foods that are both low in carbs and high in fat.

Are Keto Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls Freezer Friendly

Yes, you can certainly freeze these little bites. Once the chocolate has set, transfer to a freezer-safe container or plastic bag and store in the freezer for up to several months.

Keep in mind that chocolate can form condensation when thawing. It will still be totally fine to eat, but it may look slightly different. If you put the peanut butter balls in the refrigerator overnight to thaw rather than setting them out at room temperature, this will help reduce the condensation.

The Peanut Butter Step

I like to use Laura Scudders All Natural Peanut for ALL my peanut butter recipes. The oil separation lends to a lovely texture when left at room temperature.

In a separate clean bowl place the softened cream cheese and the sweetener. Using the hand mixer cream together the cream cheese and Allulose. Add in the room temperature peanut butter and melted butter.

Continue to blend the peanut butter and cream cheese mixture with the hand mixer until fully blended into a beautiful nutty mixture.

How To Make A Keto Pie With Peanut Butter

Start by beating together your cream cheese, peanut butter, and sugar free powdered sugar, until fluffy. Next, in a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream until thick. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until stiff peaks form.

Now, gently fold through the cream mixture into the cream cheese mixture until combined. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pie crust and refrigerate for 2 hours, to allow it to firm up.

Once the peanut butter filling has been chilled for 2 hours, make the chocolate ganache. Microwave or heat on the stove the heavy cream, until warm. Remove from the heat and add the chopped chocolate and let sit in the warm cream for 2 minutes, to melt. Whisk together until thick and smooth. Gently pour the ganache on top of the pie. Sprinkle the sides of it with the chopped peanuts. Chill the pie for at least 6 hours or overnight, before slicing.
