The last month has been insanely busy. Every weekend we had plans and could not wait until we had a weekend to ourselves.
I had a somewhat lazy weekend where Girlie and I made homemade hot chocolates and curled up in front of the TV to watch some movies Might as well get ahead on those Christmas movies as it actually snowed here on Halloween Have to love that crazy Canadian weather!
After almost a month, I figured it was a good time to show off kiddo’s birthday cake. I love making her cake each year. It is a tradition I will forever love, but I have a feeling she will be that child who wants to make her own cake at some point At first I was a little disappointed with how the cake turned out. The pink ombre cake wasn’t really showing three different colors. There are three shades on the cake, but it is hard to tell. But the butterflies more than made up for that! Kiddo was in love with the butterflies. When we cut into the cake at the bowling alley, she took one bite of the cake and decided the butterflies were the cool part. It was her birthday so I let her have a couple. I made way too many royal icing butterflies, but best to be safe than sorry!

What Was The Reaction To The Cake Explosion Box

I ordered the big birthday box. Came when expected, cake pops were fresh and tasty. The ONLY reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 were the windup butterflies. Ive had the small boxes before and the smaller butterflies really burst out in a wide spread, very surprising. These bigger butterflies didnt really explode out of the box they just seemed heavier, didnt get much loft and sort of flopped heavily after getting out of the box. My suggestion for your R& D division is to pack more numerous smaller butterflies in the big box rather than the larger butterflies.
