How To Make Peanut Butter Protein Bars

First, add protein powder, peanut butter, maple syrup, almond flour, vanilla extract, and salt to a bowl. Mix together until dough forms.

Second, line a square baking dish with parchment paper. This is an important step! It will prevent the dough from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Third, add chocolate chips and coconut oil to a bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between, until the chocolate is completely melted. Pour the melted chocolate over the dough. Spread in an even layer across the dish.

Finally, chill the bars in the freezer for 5 minutes or until the chocolate sets. Gently slice 8-12 bars, depending on your preferred size. Enjoy!

All of our meals are single serving, whether it be a medium or large portion. The medium meals are portioned to be 4 oz of protein and our large meals are 6 oz of protein. Some meals such as the egg bakes and oatmeal have slightly different portioning amounts.

I calculated the nutrition facts for the Pioneer Womans Peanut Butter Pie recipe along with my Healthy Peanut Butter Pie recipe. I was totally surprised at how nutritionally balanced my recipe was, I was seriously expecting a lot more calories and fat to be in it knowing how rich and peanut buttery it tasted. But that wasnt my only surprise I was absolutely horrified when I saw the Pioneer Womans nutrition label.

Her recipe is still a calorie-/fat-/trans fat-/sugar-bomb. Seriously now, a tiny 1/12th slice of her pie has 450 calories, 29g of fat , plus 26g of sugar. Its a little disconcerting to me. Not one ingredient in that pie is healthy, balanced or nutritious its just sad

To make myself feel better Im going to have a slice of my pie be right back!

Every Sunday when your new meals are delivered, our driver will pick up your old bag at the same time.
