The second new entree on the menu is Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken. Its two grilled chicken breasts topped with a sweet and smoky maple glaze, crispy bacon and melted cheese. With two chicken breasts and your choice of two sides, theres a good possibility youll have leftovers.
Of course, both of these new meals come with your choice of hand-rolled buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins. An impossible choice in my book. I always ask for both, but with the addition of a new online store, you can stock up on Biscuit and Dumpling Mix for a later date.

After traveling 400 miles, we were pleased to see a Cracker B. Service was spot on, fresh brewed decaf . We ordered specials, deserts and even found gift shop specials that we didnt know we needed. When we travel, my only complaint is there highway signage is very visually, but, getting to their place is not always easy. Twice on this southern trip, we couldnt actual get to a location. I have put this CB on my permanent gps markers.

My wife and I ate here on our way down to Port Everglades, FL. The food was typical food except for my wife’s food. Cracker Barrel was advertising Fried Turkey Breast meal. My wife said it was dry and bland tasting and she would never order it again. I had the Country Fried Steak. It was delicious.

Stopped here while visiting the area. We were greeted, seated and served right away. Our server was fantastic. Like others, we also experienced food that was not hot. Clearly caused by the ‘runners’ not getting the food out as soon as the cook finishes. However, in our case we had a very attentive waitress. Within just a few minutes, the manager was personally delivering a freshly cooked dinner.

Its honestly too bad every time I go to a Cracker Barrel its at best an underwhelming experience and at worst rather disastrous. That actually looks pretty good.
Alternatively, out of about 100 visits, I’ve never had one issue with Cracker Barrel. It’s always been at least good. I’m genuinely surprised by your perspective.
What are your usual issues with Cracker Barrel? Personally I haven’t really had issues with them aside from my food being cold one time.
Cracker Barrel used to be more consistent when it was for the most part restricted to the South. Once it began expanding outside of that area, I feel like the food quality became more unpredictable. Table service has always been a weak spot at Cracker Barrel to me, with it sometimes slow to non-existent and that seems to not have changed much. Its a serviceable meal if you don’t want fast food and have an hour to kill during your travels.

Pecan pie is a pretty perfect slice. Sweet, crunchy, sticky, and relatively easy to make. That being said, is anything ruined by adding chocolate?
This recipe will give you an amazing pecan pie, but if you have one you love, then stick with it.

I have eaten at a few Cracker Barrel restaurants in my day, but I do not remember a chicken casserole unless this is the chicken pot pie-type dish they serve. I know Cracker Barrels most duplicated recipe is their famous hash brown casserole so I am interested in checking this one out too. Sounds yummy.

I can’t wait to try this Copycat Chicken casserole from Cracker Barrel. With the weather here quickly cooling down, it will be a great addition to my winter dishes. I do have a question, though. Where I live it is hard to get corn meal for the corn bread. I can get corn bread mix from a specialty shop in London. Can I use that? Or does the corn bread recipe have anything in it that the premade mix doesn’t?
