Takeaway pizza chain Papa Johns has launched its Christmas menu for 2019 and it includes a vegan pizza with festive toppings and a vegan-friendly dessert.
Inspired by traditional trimmings youd enjoy at Christmas dinner, the vegan Festive Feast pizza is topped with a red wine gravy base, plant-based cheese and roasted vegetables including seasonal sprouts and finished with a drizzle of cranberry sauce.
Putting a twist on a festive favourite, the pizza giant has launched vegan-friendly mince pie scrolls made from fresh dough rolled with spiced mincemeat and topped off with a generous drizzle of icing.
As a Christmas treat, Papa Johns is also offering a Festive Meal Deal for £19.99 which includes any large pizza and two classic sides.

Papa John’s has a new dessert on the menu: an 8-inch, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie that’s cut into slices, just like a pizza. The Mega Chocolate Chip Cookie is $5 with any pizza purchase, but I was able to snag one for the same price without bothering with a pie.
As far as chocolate chip cookies go, this one checks all of the important boxes: it’s warm, full of melted chocolate chips, and has a tantalizing aroma that sneaks through the vents in the box, crippling your willpower before you even get the first bite in your mouth.
Texture-wise, it’s moist and chewy in the middle, crisp on top and on the bottom, and crunchy around the outside edge. It’s best warm, ideally with a scoop of ice cream, but even when it’s completely cooled, the cookie still remains pleasantly soft and chewy. Yep, you’ll be eating the entire thing.
The cookies are made from dough that’s pre-packed in foil pie plates then baked in the pizza oven for about 8 minutes. Judging by the flavor, I’m guessing the dough is sourced directly from Tollhouse or another mass-manufacturer of cookie dough. It’s not quite as tasty as a fresh-baked, homemade cookie, but it’s a lot better than anything you’ll find bagged in the cookie aisle. For $5, I say go for it.

Spain is the second most important European market for Papa John’s. The chain has been operating in Spain since 2016, and had 42 restaurants by late 2017. Papa Johns Discontinues Cinnapie Dessert Pizza
Are you sitting? The crew at Chew Boom have sad news to report. Papa Johns has pulled the plug on the Cinnapie dessert pizza.
Perhaps were stretching it a bit, but hey, thats what foodies do when a menu item dies a profound, unannounced and largely ignored death. We celebrate new menu items, so it only seems fair to mourn the loss of a menu item. Ok, so we are stretching it.
The sad news of the Cinnapies demise comes by way of Robert D. Peyton over at My New Orleans. As he explains it, the middle child in my home was promised a Cinnapie by her mother.
But as Peyton points out, when his wife attempted to order a Cinnapie online, she wasnt able to find the dessert anywhere on the Papa Johns website.
The family only learned the sordid truth when Peytons wife picked up the telephone and called Papa Johns directly.
Peyton put it like this:
Tears were shed.
RIP Cinnapie.

Chew Boom brought the Cinnapie issue to the attention of Brand Eating on Twitter. The popular fast food blog believes the Cinnapies demise could be a regional thing.
