INDIANAPOLIS Nothing Bundt Cakes is inviting customers to celebrate a major milestone with free cake.

On Thursday, September 1, the company is giving out free mini bundt cakes to the first 250 customers at locations across North America to celebrate its 25th birthday. Each of those recipients will receive an individually packaged Confetti Bundtlet, the bakery chain said.

There will also be an online contest offering a grand prize of a $25,000 birthday party. Twenty-five runners-up will receive a $100 Nothing Bundt Cakes gift card.

Fans can enter from Sept. 125 and sharing what winning would mean to them.

Winners will be announced in October.

Nothing Bundt Cakes has nearly 450 locations in the U.S. and Canada. The bakeries offer four cake sizes in nine flavors, including Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Lemon, and Confetti.

Overall this job is a decent one for high schoolers. I just graduated and its an easy job I just wish there was more pay that came along with it. On the bright side they have very flexible schedules and you get free cake !

Ive never thought I found the best job in the world, I say this because I rather be at work than at home. The atmosphere is phenomenal, positiveness, loving , fair and so much more.

I enjoy working here! The pay is kind of low for the expectations corporate and manger give us and guest are sometimes very rude but overall I love my coworkers, managers, and serving our delicious cakes!

Working here has been quite the experience. I have made so many friends and I will even say they have given me a second family. Multiple coworkers work 2 jobs and management is very flexible with this. Getting time off isnt too hard as long as you dont ask off for months at a time. Like all workplaces, you will have coworkers that you dont get along with, but I have only had one real person I didnt get along with, but she was fired for reasons that the company wasnt responsible for. The small team lets everyone get to know each other and build true relationships. We are in desperate need for frosters, so dont be afraid to put in an application and try it out.

Our daughter is turning one so we requested a baby cake, cupcakes and cookies with a mermaid theme and these are what were made! I absolutely love this place! The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Covington, are 100% top notch people and the cupcakes are incredible. They even have a dessert called “Banana split mousse”, which I didn’t even know was a thing. It’s pure heaven. The chocolate cheesecake and peanut butter fudge cupcakes were so good, I actually said “Are you kidding me?!” out loud upon tasting them. There is no better place in the city to get cupcakes. I paid roughly $3-$4 per cake and was immensely satisfied. I will happily give the Covington’s my business again! You will not be disappointed!

I wish they had a closer location inHampton, but they are definitely worth the drive to Newport News. Park in the back and walk up because parking in the front is brutal next to Navy Federal and Mooyah Burgers & Fries. Nothing Bundt Cakes Opens In Newport News

A new business selling bundt cakes is now open at Tech Center in Newport News.

Nothing Bundt Cakes hosted its grand opening Jan. 12 that included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, though it has been open since Dec. 30, said store franchise co-owner Sherry Whitaker, who is in business with her husband Robert.

The store, which sells party-related gifts like balloons, greeting cards and serving platters in addition to bundt cakes, is the first store in Virginia.

Were excited about that, Sherry Whitaker said.

The couple is back in the area after living in Huntsville, Ala., where they got bundt cakes for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.

Nothing Bundt Cakes offers cakes in several sizes, from the bite-sized Bundtinis that are sold by the dozen, single-serving Bundtlets and full-sized cakes.

They are available in 10 flavors, with chocolate chocolate chip, red velvet, white chocolate raspberry and lemon among the most popular, Sherry Whitaker said.

Chipotle restaurants to close briefly Feb. 8

Chipotle restaurants in Newport News, Hampton and Williamsburg will be closed during peak lunch hours Feb. 8 as part of a company-wide initiative to discuss food safety changes and other matters.

Leaders will answer questions from employees and thank our employees for their hard work through this difficult time, said Chipotle spokeswoman Danielle Moore to the Daily Press.

The restaurants will open at 3 p.m. that day, Moore said.
