November marks the beginning of holiday season, stretchy pants season, and pie season, and we cant think of a more appropriate place to celebrate than The Pie Hole. The Pie Hole opened in 2011 as a local family-run pie shop in the Arts District and has since expanded with several locations in L.A., O.C., North Carolina, and Tokyo. Its menu, which includes sweet and savory pies with classic and modern flavors, changes seasonally, and everything is made from scratch. To help you choose the perfect slice, we ranked each of their sweet pies. If you want to win Thanksgiving dinner, they sell whole pies that you can order in advance.

Ordered a chicken pie to go as there was no seat at the cafe. Got a shock when I took the 1st bite. The pie was like right out of the fridge with almost icy cold fillings. But cos I took a bite, it was…not nice to go back and ask for it to be heated. So I bit the bullet and try to swallow the cold and dry pie. The server should have at least asked if I needed it to be heated up, knowing that it’s a refrigerated pie. Utterly disappointing.More
I had been to the original in LA a few years back, and raved about the place. So, the only place other than LA it seems they have these is Tokyo. So I took my wife and friend to one in Ginza. There were like…3 pie selections. I was disappointed. I got Earl Grey Tea pie, which was delicious, but there was no Mexican chocolate . There was a green tea pie and a cherry pie. The latter two were just alright. Not sure the quality and quantity, for that matter, translated to the Japanese locations. It’s also in a mall, so there is zero character to the place, unlike the LA location I went to in the Arts District.More

OMG! This place couldn’t be any better. Talk about buttery savory pie goodness ! I had a piece of chicken cornbread pie and a salad so that I could feel at least a little virtuous ! Lol.
I can officially call a place where you cant take your eyes off of their beautiful and delicious cakes, very cool atmosphere and visitors.
Love the wraps and pies here, and the atmosphere is wonderful 🙂 Cute spot for lunch, stuyding, getting some work done… and for delicious food!

These craft pies are very well made. I’m working on trying a new slice each month. And so far I am not disappointed.
Nice. Very nice. I think we were the oldest in the house but didn’t mind. The desserts were lovely. The kids enjoyed and so did we. Why don’t they have more of these.kind of places? Especially in Dubai.Only regret : they had run out…of any banana dessert. Next time.More
Went to this place a few years ago on a scooter adventure from Santa Monica with my wife. Told her about the Mexican Chocolate pie. It was amazing. Thanks so much for the great memories as we go once a month now.
