Ingredient by ingredient and recipe by recipe, we worked until we found the very best. We started by using fresh ingredients. We got rid of the freezer and microwave and made homemade meatballs, real sliced bacon, fresh made ranch and followed this model for every ingredient on our menu. We brought in creative creations and mashed flavors together that have never been seen on pizza before. When we opened and heard all of the feedback, we knew we had a hit. Less than a year later we launched our second location in Midtown. A year after that, we launched our third location. We invite you to come in and try the flavor of a Gaines Street Pie!

This pizzeria and sports bar launched in November of last year, with a menu that pays homage to pizzaiolo Jorge Sandovals Latino roots, with wood-fired delights like a tangy mole option that sprinkles mozzarella and Oaxacan cheese, curtido, and crema atop a perfectly charred pie. I am writing this review based on the feedback I received from a couple who reside inAustin, Texas. My son also lived in Austin for 7 years and recommended this restaurant. I do not live in Austin, but I called and talked with a…very nice young man named Brooks and explained that I would like to have food delivered to this couple for dinner in that they just had a baby and did not have any family there as of yet to help them. Brooks could not have been more accommodating! I ordered a 14″ pizza, half sausage and half vegetarian, a couple of salads, some desserts and beverages. They were delivered on time and the couple told me that the food was absolutely delicious! If you peruse the menu online, you see that they offer all kinds of pizza, including vegan and gluten free options. It is thin crust and has different types of sauces and crusts as well as make your own pizzas with artisan or regular toppings. Both my son and this couple agree that their food is really good, and most importantly, the customer service is exemplary! If you are in Austin, I would definitely recommend dining here or ordering from here! There are two other locations, so wherever you are staying, I am sure that one of their locations would be near you. I know that if I ever am in Austin, this would be on my list of “go to” restaurants.More

I like this place in person, but every time I order online I wait way over the initial estimate. I totally understand that restaurants are understaffed because of the pandemic so I’m still giving a 4 star. Support your local businesses! Give patience! Tip! Things are hard for these industries right now. Just understand when you order that you’re going to wait a little longer than the estimate.
I asked my daughter where we should go for pizza, and she said ‘East Side Pies’. We had to sit in the car and eat because there’s no seating – just window for orders and pickup. TOTALLY WORTH IT! The pizza was a bit on the spendy side, but tasted great. Everything just tasted fresh.
