Since 1978, the Ben and Jerry’s flavor gurus have masterminded hundreds of unparalleled flavors that offer just the right amounts of sweetness, crunch and swirl. A pint of the sweet stuff is easy to house in a single sitting, and then it’s gone. But sometimes it’s gone forever when Ben & Jerry’s taunts us with limited-edition batches, which abruptly cease to exist for the rest of all time, no matter how beloved they are.

While it’s incomprehensible that any new flavor could beat out some of the now-defunct flavors below, it’s hard not to reflect on our delicious past. Check out the most popular limited batch Ben and Jerry’s pints, and tell us which one’s your favorite in the comments.

How Do You Make Key Lime Pie Ice Cream

For this recipe youll need milk, granulated sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, key limes, graham crackers, and butter.

Combine the milk and sugar in a bowl then blend until the sugar is dissolved.

Stir in heavy cream, vanilla extract , fresh Key lime juice and zest, mix until blended then pour into your pre-frozen ice cream maker insert. Allow mixture to churn and thicken for 30 minutes.

Next, combine the crushed graham crackers, butter and sugar in a bowl, place on a sheet pan and bake in a 350 degree F oven for 5 minutes until lightly toasted then cool.

When the ice cream has thickened, layer it and the toasted graham crackers in a loaf pan or plastic container. Seal tightly and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

This Key Lime Pie Ice Cream was heavenly! So rich and creamy and a definite new family favorite.

Pies Weve Turned Into Ice Cream

No matter what your family eats as the main course this holiday season, theres a good chance dessert will include some sort of pie. Whats a holiday meal without some pie?

3. Sweet Potato Pie We were pretty sad to lay Miz Jelenas Sweet Potato Pie to rest in 1993, so we thought wed change up the recipe and put Sweet Potato Pie another chance at infamy in our Scoop Shops.

4. Pecan Pie Legend says Pecan Pie didnt show up in recipe books until 1886. We apologize that it took us over 100 years to make our own variation.

5. Southern Pecan Pie After Pecan Pie came and went, we decided to try a new twist. So we sent the flavor down south with brown sugar ice cream, pecan chunks and swirls.

6. Sublime Key Lime Pie Key lime pie is good. But Sublime Key Lime Pie? We guess its fluffy meringue swirls were just too sublime for the world to handle.

8. Apple Pie Imagine putting a scoop of our Apple Pie on top of that slice of Apple Pie you just took out of the oven. This is the stuff dreams are made of.

Key Lime Pie Ice Cream

The fresh flavor of Key limes and toasted buttery graham crackers combined to make this tart and sweet homemade Key Lime Pie Ice Cream.

This recipe for Key Lime Pie Ice Cream makes me extremely happy. Seriously. Its probably one of the best flavors of ice cream Ive ever had.

As some of you may know Im not a huge ice cream fan, but certain flavors certainly grab my attention and Key lime is one of them. Key lime pie is one of my favorite desserts.

I guess its because the light, citrusy flavor reminds me of Summer. Mainly because I usually indulge in a slice of pie whenever we vacation on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

When I saw a recipe for No Churn Key Lime Pie Ice Cream on Pinterest last month created by Like Mother, Like Daughter, I couldnt wait to try it for myself.

In their recipe they used sweetened condensed milk along with the heavy cream to make a no churn version. However, since I have an ice cream maker I adapted their version to use with my machine.

Making your own ice cream at home is super easy and I like knowing what ingredients go into it.

Ben &  Jerrys Limited Batch Key Lime Pie Ice Cream ...

Did you know Ben and Jerry’s now makes Key Lime Pie ice cream? Me neither until I saw it in the grocery store a couple of days ago. They won’t be making it for long, though.

Their Key Lime Pie ice cream is for a limited time, which is part of the reason why I grabbed a couple of pints. Get it while you can, right? I love key lime pie. The former Hook Line and Sinker restaurant in New Hartford made a delicious key lime pie. It’s not easy to find and that’s why I was thrilled to see Ben and Jerry’s offer it via ice cream. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. I prefer key lime pie made with graham cracker crust. Their key lime pie ice cream has pieces of pie crust and I think it would taste much better with pieces of graham cracker crust, like Ben and Jerry’s strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Other than the pie crust pieces, it didn’t have a lot of flavor. Guess my search for good key lime pie and now good key lime pie ice cream continues. Any suggestions?
