SEAL BEACH, CA Bakery chain Nothing Bundt Cakes is celebrating its 25th birthday in a sweet way with a cake giveaway at all locations across the country, including Orange County.
On Thursday, the first 250 guests to walk into the bakery will receive a free Confetti Bundtlet, the brand’s packaged miniature bundt cakes.
In addition, the bakery chain is holding an online contest where one resident will win a $25,000 birthday party planned by a celebrity planning company, a Nothing Bundt Cakes news release said.
Nothing Bundt Cakes Bakery Opens In Ormond Beach
Ormond Beach resident Yamini Desai decided to open a location in town after years of buying the company’s cakes for special occasions.
The first time Yamini Desai tasted a bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, she chose a white chocolate raspberry flavor.
She had bought it for her husband’s birthday, and the family all loved it, the Ormond Beach resident recalled. With a bakery nearby from where her children go to school in Jacksonville, Nothing Bundt Cakes quickly became her “go-to gift” for every occasion for the past few years, Desai said. So her husband asked her, “Why not open one in Ormond Beach?”
And that’s what she did.
Desai opened a Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery at the former Starbucks location at 1425 W. Granada Blvd. a couple of weeks ago. This was an accomplishment two years in the making, as she and her husband began the process to own a franchise of the bakery during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We got approved very soon, and then we were looking for a good location,” Desai said. “And we found out that Starbucks was actually going to move across and that’s when they were still here, and we thought it was worth waiting for the spot.”
“I love meeting new people and just sharing this delicious cake with everyone. We love it because everyone’s typically celebrating something. We see happy people all day, which is really nice, and it’s just nice to be part of the celebration.”
