i havent had it in 20+ years. just a random nostalgic craving and it had passed until i saw this post. besides, i imagine the recipe/ingredient quality has changed enough in the last few decades so that it might taste similar but not the same as i remember.
It was really bad. I recommend that you save your money for something else, but totally up to you. And damn those nostalgia cravings! Such a pain in the butt! No kids for me, either. If I want to hear the putter patter of little feet, Ill put shoes on my cats. Also, theres absolutely nothing wrong with an adult getting a kids meal. SAN ANTONIO Blue Bell has debuted a coconut treat for one of the tastiest months around, National Ice Cream Month.
The Texas-based creamery said Thursday that the coconut cream pie ice cream flavor is now available for a limited time.
It contains flakes of coconut, chunks of pie crust pieces and a whipped topping swirl.

The coconut fans in our Food Rankers group were ready to try this the moment it was announced. The rest of us found the description a little too coconut-y for coconut cream pie ice cream, but opinions were unanimous once the Blue Bell was served.

At first bite, it tastes exactly like its namesake. It is the creamiest ice cream we have experienced in a long time, and it hits all the right notes from the vanilla to the toasted coconut and pie pieces.
The only criticism came from B, our biggest coconut lover, saying that they wish it had more coconut or coconut flavor.
