My Experience With Nyx Butter Gloss Vanilla Cream Pie

The packaging is something that I adore. It is the regular tube with a lip applicator but the color of the container is the color of the shade, which means you wont have to search for the name of the shade or open the cap to check for the shade every single time.

These days, I have become a fan of the brand named NYX. Some products are actually expensive, but most of them are affordable. There are these butter lip glosses and butter lip balms which are my absolute favorites. I purchased the shade vanilla cream pie. This butter gloss is something which can be applied over the lipstick or alone. The lighter shades in this range dont give too much color so best suggested to apply over a lipstick in case you want some color. On days when you want your lips to look sheer and lipstick-free, just swipe a layer of this butter gloss and you are good to go. This doesnt stick or attract dirt. It might stay for a good 3 to 4hours without meals. It doesnt feather out as well. It gives a light color, but on my lips, looks like clear gloss since my lips are pigmented. The shade looks like a bubble gum pink and keeps the lips pretty moisturized. In all, I like this. The only problem is it doesnt stay for very long, but for the price, it is absolutely worth it.
How To Apply: Smooth On Generously
The Daily Concepts Daily Lip Scrubber is a silicone brush that sloughs away any chapped skin on my lips, and it’s what I use pre-application to provide a smooth, soft base for my lip products. Thankfully, because the Butter Gloss is, well, a lip gloss , its formula is naturally moisturizing to begin with. I usually gravitate toward nude and baby pink lip colors, and Crème Brulee and Madeline have been my go-tos for several years. Tiramisu, Angel Food Cake, and Strawberry Cheesecake are the deepest I’ll go when it comes to mauve and brighter pinks, and because this formula provides a sheer wash of color, I feel comfortable stepping out of my comfort zone.

Todays post is about a product Ive been using a lot since I bought it this past spring, so much so that its almost done already! This months featured brand with the Canadian Beauty Bloggers is NYX so thought Id show you my Butter Gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie.
It has a doe foot applicator that is slightly slanted at the end and it works well.
NYX describes Vanilla Cream Pie as a mauve, but to me mauve is more of a pastel purple. I find this one to actually be quite a bright pink on its own, with a blue undertone.
Since this is a medium-sheer lippie it does get toned down a bit by your own lip colour. If you look at it up close you can see that it settles a bit into the fine lines, but in real life at normal distance you cannot see that.
I really like the natural look that it gives.

This summer my go-to look was very natural and although I wore nude lips A LOT I also wanted a pinkier alternative for days where it just went better with my clothing. I already have the butter gloss in Crème Brûlée which I absolutely love so after doing lots of research online about the different colours I settled on Vanilla Cream Pie, and it is exactly what I was looking for!
