Shrewsbury Nothing Bundt Cakes is approaching its one-year anniversary this fall. Since its grand opening, the family-owned bakery has quickly become part of the community. Owners Alan and Liz Gulachenski wouldnt have it any other way.
And what a year it has been! Al and Liz recently received the Worcester Chamber of Commerce Family Owned Business of the Year for 2020 award. To win the award during a businesss first year is impressive but during the coronavirus pandemic is amazing.
Gulachenski humbly acknowledged the community for their support during these trying times and congratulated his hard-working staff.
Jajaira Flores, bakery manager, shared that Nothing Bundt Cakes is a franchise and there are only four in Massachusetts. Theirs is the only one in central Massachusetts.
They want their guests to have the best experience possible. The bakery is bright and inviting and the aroma is amazing. The Bundt cakes are handcrafted on premises. Everything is from scratch using the freshest ingredients. Their signature frosting is also made at the bakery.
We bake every day and make the frosting everyday and even our decorations that go on top of the cakes are made by hand, she noted.
Guests have 10 flavors to choose from, from classic vanilla to chocolate chocolate chip to red velvet and carrot cake and pecan praline. The featured flavor for fall is pumpkin spice.
