Bundt Cake Company Suing Hospital
According to the lawsuit filed in Ector County Court at Law Court Tuesday, Nothing Bundt Cakes baked and delivered hundreds of small, bite-sized bundt cakes to ORMC on a weekly basis from August 2021 through August 2022, but have not been paid in full.
Nothing Bundt Cakes, which has locations in Midland and Odessa, alleges the hospital owes the company $28,000.
The company is seeking the owed amount, plus interest and attorneys’ fees alleging breach of contract.
Invoices attached to the lawsuit indicate the bakery delivered 100 “bundtlets” every week at a cost of $4.75 each in 2021 or $5 in 2022.
Stacey Brown, president of ORMC, has previously said the hospital has a policy of not commenting on pending litigation.

This is one of my favorite places. The cakes are always fresh, and I can’t leave without buying one of each. This is how a bundt cake is supposed to be. They make one thing and they make it well. The staff is excellent and friendly, they always have great suggestions if you are in-between a decision. Definitely stop by if you have a chance. Gluten free chocolate chip…that’s all I’m saying!!!
I cannot even describe how fabulous these are! I have gotten the bundtinis for every shower and birthday party I have attended for the past year – holy cow!!! Crowd pleaser. Always delicious, you always know what you’re going to get, so presentable – perfectly made, moist. Can you tell I am 8.5 months pregnant? Anyway, can’t recommend enough!!

Nothing Bundt Cakes Hits A Homerun In Town And Country

“I called my twin sister, and I said, ‘You’re never going to believe what I just saw, a Nothing Bundt Cake Bakery. Isn’t that funny? Don’t you remember when mom and grandma always made bundt cakes?’ Everybody always remembers their mom, or grandma, or somebody making a bundt cake.”
Neely had to try a cake from the shop, and when she did, she promptly fell in love. She started buying Nothing Bundt Cakes for every occasion, from birthdays to baby showers. When her sister Penelope Ritchie visited Texas, she too fell in love with the cakes.
Two years ago, Neely, who lives in Baton Rouge, started looking into opening her own franchise.
“I was very frustrated in the corporate world, and my husband kept saying, ‘You need to do something that makes you happy,'” Neely explains. “And what makes me happy is Nothing Bundt Cakes. It’s such a happy place. When you walk in everybody is celebrating something. All we do is smile all day. It’s so much fun.”
She adds, “We sat on the idea of opening a store for awhile, and then last year, January 2014, we got serious and reached out to Nothing Bundt Cakes and started the process.” On April 1, Neely opened the St. Louis area’s first franchise in the Lamp and Lantern Village strip mall at Clayton Road and 141 . She hired her sister, Ritchie, to be the bakery’s manager.
The bakery uses only premium, fresh ingredients so customers always bite into a moist cake, Neely says.
