Speaking of frosting, I have also attached the classic Cream Cheese Frosting that goes with 14 Carrot Cake. Its easy to make and can go on any number of cakes. However, its classic partner is carrot cake.
As you can see in the photo, I made a double batch of 14 Carrot Cake for a mammoth Christmas celebration cake. Instead of 3 layers with a single recipe, I made six layers with a double recipe. I also made a double batch of Cream Cheese Frosting which was just enough to cover all layers, top, bottom, sides and in between.
I love this cake recipe and I will test it again in different shapes, like single layer cakes and Bundt cakes. But an insanely large cake for Christmas is what happened in the kitchen today, so I thought I would share.

You can place the order soon as you know or about the day before for a simple cake. Of course if you’re wanted more of a detailed cake i would order way before. They have single cupcakes you can buy that are delicious also buying selected baking needs is offered such as cake boxes , pans, candles, cake toppers, etc.

Recipe Find: Best Carrot Cake In The World
When Linda Browning asked for the recipe for what she described as the best carrot cake in the world, I knew the one she was talking about.
It’s a personal favorite of mine, as well.
Browning wrote, Is there any chance you can replace a recipe that I have lost? I’ve had it for nearly 10 years and can’t believe I can’t find it. I have looked everywhere, tearing apart my kitchen and bookshelf .
The recipe ran in the San Antonio Express-News and was the best carrot cake in the world. I don’t remember the name of the recipe beyond carrot cake, but I know it used 1 cup of Wesson oil and had cream cheese in the icing. It was so moist and good and stayed fresh longer than most cakes.
The other thing I remember is that the recipe ran in your column and you said it came from a friend who used to bake for people. I think the recipe was one she made to sell.
Browning did a great job of coming up with key points that helped me quickly know the recipe she wanted. We published this recipe on Nov. 1, 2000, in this column. It came from a friend, Cindy Bunton, who used to live in San Antonio. While here in the ’80s, she was a great home cook whose recipes won raves in cooking competitions. She also ran a small baking business that had lots of loyal customers.
